Contacts lists all the contacts that your Organization has.
You can access Contacts from the sidebar.
By default, your contacts are organized alphabetically in the left column of the main pane.
The right column shows detailed information about any selected contact, including:
- Firm Name
- Any custom contact fields that you create to categorize and track contacts
- Deal History
- Opportunity History
- Activity Feed
- Associated Tasks
- Attached Files
You can access the firm list by clicking Firms on the tab to the left of the search bar.
- You can Bulk Upload contacts by going to Contacts, clicking the blue plus sign and selecting "Upload Batch Contacts" from the drop-down menu. Next, download the provided CSV file template, and populate the file with your contacts exactly as shown in the template file (you must keep the header, row #1). Each row should represent one contact, and there is no limit to the amount of contacts you may add. Once you have populated the template file with the contacts you wish to upload, make sure to save the file as a .CSV file. Finally, upload the CSV file and click submit. You will receive an email once the upload has been completed.
- You can Add a Single Contact by clicking the "Create New" button in the header and selecting "contact" from the drop-down menu or going to Contacts, clicking the blue plus sign and selecting "Add Single Contact" from the drop-down menu. On the subsequent "Add Contact" page, add a new contact by typing a name or email into the blank field and selecting "Create New Contact" from the drop-down menu. Note green contacts that appear in the drop-down are already contacts of yours and black names that appear in the drop-down are MadeMarket users that are not yet your contact. Clicking a black name from the list will add the MadeMarket user to your contacts.
Contact and Firm Search
Search allows you to find any contact or firm. To search your contacts, type the first name, last name or email of any contact in the search field at the top of the right column. To search your firms, toggle to the "Firms" tab and type the firm name in the search field at the top of the right column.
Advanced Search and Exporting Contacts
Click "Advanced" to perform an Advanced Search through your contacts or firms. Note if you are on the Contacts tab, your results will be individuals and if you are on the Firms tab, results will be firms. After you click "Advanced," the Advanced Search UI shown above will appear. Set the desired filters to refine your contact list. You may filter results by Contact Fields, Firm Fields, and Deal Fields. You may add multiple conditions to make your Search more advanced by clicking Add, then +Condition or +New Group & Condition.
Once you have entered in your custom search criteria and clicked "Search," you may save your specific search by pressing Save Search Criteria. In addition, you can export your results by clicking Export Results. To export your entire contact database, do not apply any filters and click "search" and then export the results.
Editing a Contact or Firm
To edit a selected contact or firm, click the "edit" button, update the information and click "save."
Adding a Contact to a Buyers List
To add contacts to a buyers list from Contacts, select the desired contacts, click "Add to Target List" and then click "Add to List" on the next window next to each project you wish to add the contacts to.
Adding a Contact to a Contact List
To add contacts to a contact list from Contacts, select the desired contacts, click "Add to Contact List" and then click "Add to List" on the next window next to each Contact List you wish to add the contacts to.
Once you have created a Contact List, you can easily access it using the Top Bar as shown below. Clicking Lists will prompt a drop-down menu in which your existing Contact Lists will appear.
